FROM TWITCHING TO SANITY
Peter takes us way back into the 1960s & 70s where he explains how he became interested in ornithology through egg-collecting with his brothers and his mates. Then followed 'proper' birdwatching with the YOC and a subsequent interest in photography. As we move through time his interest grew and many serious birding trips turned into the lust for new and rare birds….TWITCHING!
In more recent years the twitching led to an investment in better camera equipment and Peter became a well known local bird photographer and has been published in many local and national publications. He will share details of some incredible trips which produced many fantastic & rare birds.
This type of hobby can become obsessive and disappointing when unsuccessful and Peter explains how he has become less frustrated by focusing on local species and his passion for videography.
